It is with great sadness that we, the family of Linda MacRury announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, February 03, 2010 at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex.

Born in Sydney, she was the chosen daughter of the late Robert and Rachael (MacQueen) MacRury of Glace Bay

Linda was at one time employed with Colonial Jewelers in Glace Bay. One of her favorite pastimes was knitting, and she had a profound love for cats, especially “Friskie”.

Linda is survived by her sons Robert (Julie) Kitchener Ont; Mark (Tanya) Alberta; sister Charlotte MacRury Glace Bay; grandchildren Kyla, Lauren, and nephew Darrell (Sandra).

In honoring Linda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Interment will take place at Loch End Cemetery, Catalone at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the SPCA.
